The social subjects department has welcomed a small number of Primary 7 pupils from across Alloa Academy’s catchment area to try their hand at some secondary level work.

The opportunity will allow pupils to developed their social subjects skills; their literacy and numeracy skills as well as improving the skills they will need when they come to leave school. The theme of the lessons in Geography, History and Modern Studies are centered around Alloa and its place in the wider world.

So far pupils have made an impressive start to their time here at Alloa Academy, working alongside Miss Walker in Modern Studies. Together they have been looking at the role Alloa has played in recent the migrant crises.

Well done so far and keep up the hard work!
