A positive approachalloabuilding3

The school has adopted a positive approach to its pupils and is happy to praise them at every opportunity. Alloa Academy is at the forefront of development of positive discipline structures. It has also introduced an assertive discipline policy to all classrooms which combines known and agreed standards with praise and reward.

This policy has been responsible for the school winning several awards including the CBI Celebration Bus 2001, Barclays New Futures Awards 2001 and the Scottish Schools Ethos Award 2002/03 and highly commended in the Scottish Education Awards 2005.

The building itself was opened in February 2009 to provide a bright, modern campus with brand new facilities and a riverside location to the south of Alloa.
